Reminders

Great Job on your lesson plan presentations to Monica, Jeanna, Max and Breanna! You will get a copy of the DVD I recorded that you can use for your teaching portfolio at the end of the semester.

Make sure to have your projects graded, a class list of total points, and self evaluations to turn in the following class period after you present.

A couple reminders Bulletin Board Displays will be due the next class after you present as well.  The rubric for the display is as follows:

_______/10                    Good Composition
 _______/10            Craftsmanship, Effort Interest
_______/5            Quality Lettering ( title of lesson, quote, others)
_______/5            Information page describing the project (Names/ARTE 310)
 ________/30            Total Points

* Photograph your bulletin board to place in your blog portfolio along with your lesson plan and photo of your example.  You will also want photographs of your displays to include in your student teaching portfolio.  You can take photos of everyone's displays but it isn't required.  The more ideas you have when you start teaching the easier it is.

I have roll paper, letter forms, and any materials that you will need in the classroom.  You can setup your bulletin board before you present and it will be scored one week after you present.

One more piece of advise for those of you that are left to present, make sure to include closure to your lesson presentation.  You can review vocabulary, discuss ideas for integration with other subjects, review the rubric while the class is having work time.  If students are able to finish in class you can have them show their work or talk about their ideas it doesn't always have to be a finished project to talk about. If any of you would like to meet about your lesson please schedule a time by next Friday 11/18 as it will be my last day on campus.

Dacotah Hall 205 has class from 8-5pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays so if you need to get into the class room you all have 24 hour access with your swipe card.
